Travelling with wife/daughter and went to reception showed 3 boarding passes. She asks only 1 VA Gold nember? Yes. 1 guest only sorry. Ok no problem I will take my daughter. Ok just this one time I will let you take 2 guests.

Contrary to what some people think, I'm a nice person or smooth talker or she thought if this guy is silly enough to leave his wife outside I had better let them all in and save him....

Another situation where VA Gold allowed 2 guests "just this one time". I'm guessing we'll be back through here in June 2024 where daughter will be nearly 8 years old so not going to be easy with 2 guests.

John, do you have any experience with the Singapore Airlines Perth lounge? I'm VA Gold flying with my wife and 2 kids (8 and 5) later this year, I figured we won't all get in but might be worth a shot?

I don't have experience with SQ PER lounge but what I've heard on AFF is they are more lenient in Australia.

Don't ever be demanding. Don't ever be embarrassed to ask. They can only say no.

I handed over 3 boarding passes with my daughter sitting on my luggage trolley and my wife a few paces behind us. Lounge reception came out a few feet to meet us.

How old is your daughter? 6
How many Golds entitled to access? 1
You're only 1 entitled to 1 guest.
Yes I understand and I'll take my daughter into lounge with me. Wife said much the same in agreeance.
Please let me finish. I'll make an exception this one time and not even scan your daughters boarding pass.

That's 3 times since November in SQ lounge. There have been lots of mentions of people unsuccessful in SIN with kids as extra guests. My daughter is especially cute but we're fully aware I have only 1 guest entitlement and my wife would rather have daughter and I in the lounge for 30 minutes or so then no one at all as daughter can have something to eat.

The reality is that the guesting in your case is only 1.3 adults?. How much can a 6yr old eat/drink.
I reckon your wife saying that "Ok, you 2 go in I'll wait outside" also makes it all work in your favour

Yes @Steady I know your daughters are cuter but I don't know what it is with my daughter but she gets special treatment everywhere we go. Greek/Thai mix? People stare at her often. Shopkeepers engage her in conversation and give her things for free.

Maybe others have same experience.

Managed to pull off one wife (guest) + 3 cute daughters into the KF Gold lounge in Singapore back in January. Economy tickets, I’m the only one with KF Gold status.
The kids still ask “dad why do we have to do the cute face thing to get into the lounge?”
They weren’t busy, it was about 12pm before a flight to Japan. I did say “we’ll leave if you get busy” and the host said “ok we’ll make this exception just one time”.
Have got 5x business rewards seats SIN to SYD in June and have assured the kids they can put on whatever faces they want heading into the KrisSilver lounge.
Also I’ll be in KrisSilver lounge T3 on 2nd of June at 10pm before the red eye back to Sydney if anyone wants to meet up.
