Arrived in MEL. Now on our way to HSW. Booking showing as upgrade to King city view. Hoping for a suite too...

Checked in and room ready.
Was told no suites available (and can confirm the pleasant guy at checkin was correct, according tot the Hilton website )
Now off to do some shopping!

Oh, and my +1's Secret Santa present (well, part of it) was confiscated at CBR ).

Hello Fifa, were you at the lounge this evening? I got there quite late and was only there till 8pm. Maybe we can catch up sometime tomorrow afternoon, I don't plan to leave until around 6pm? Oh, anyone checking in after 3pm tomorrow - maybe you can ask to have my room allocated to you? I can also confirm it's true about the suite availability, when I had an issue with the allocated room, they couldn't find another suite to move me into.

Small change for dinner Saturday night. I've just been told that they changed the entrees and it is now a range of starters to share. It will include salumi and other yummy things (including vegetarian options). They have a new chef who preferred to do it that way. Main and dessert will go ahead as previously advised. Hope that's ok with everyone.

Quite frankly blackcat20, (and I'm not blaming you) I think that is rubbish that they change things 3 days out when it has been set in concrete for months.

Lucky I have been without internet since pm on the 13th as I would probably have withdrawn on principle. I/we are now committed and will see people at HSW tomorrow after about 3:30pm. Looking forward to having a great time.

Tee off at 7:58am tomorrow/today. No tee time on Sunday as it is a rock up start.

Heat is only a state of mind unless you pass out. Much bigger problem driving in Melbourne City....

We left the lounge at about 7.45 last night.
Afternoon tea commences at 3.00pm so how about we meet in the exec lounge then?

My understanding is that it changed quite some time ago, but we were their first, and very early, Christmas booking and didn't realise we hadn't been updated. It's not really a big deal in my mind, it's not like it's shared mains....
