We’re desperate to get out but the lack of baby sitters is a problem.

No no no - no wanky bronze silver gold aluminium or whatever - only 2 categories - check if you can guess which category will be welcomed:

1. Victorians who are desperate to get out after our lockdown but who are of sufficient intelligence and understanding to appreciate our situation is what it is and who support our current regime‘s actions in bringing our predicament under control and then will wait until the next State Election when we can all express our views in the most meaningful way
2. Non Victorian self anointed experts who are probably better off keeping their beaks out of Victorian business

Please let me know if above isn’t clear enough.
@Cruiser Elite I get your point. I am somewhere in between. I am a Victorian (well for most of my life) but I also have a residence in another state and when this cough blew up I escaped back to the DPRSA. I have not been able to get back to MEL since Mar. I truly have empathy for those in MEL at the moment who have been locked up. On a selfish note also have concerns of what my MEL residence looks like given no one has been there for a while.

On that note I will remain a 'wanky bronze silver gold aluminium or whatever' for this catch up. As for the next one we may have to step it up a notch.

Sadly for us we are locked down in Western Australia so no steak dinner in Melbourne.
Enjoy your eat out. It has been a while.

25km looks to be the go, so as long as you live within 25km of the Olive Tree, I think Queensland is too far away.

Looks like this is a definite thing based on just-announced changes, so put me down as a starter!

Yes our Premier has just confirmed restaurants will be open so if you desire to attend Olive Tree on Wed Nov 4 pls confirm ASAP - there are about 4 spots left - I will be closing list at 5pm this Fri nt Oct 31 - no ands ifs buts or maybes - I will be confirming numbers Fri nt so as to enable Olive tree to take other bookings we cannot get 10 attendees.

You'd be allowed in as long as your hotel was within 25km. Getting back into QLD is the issue 😜
This is similar reason why I cannot attend, sure I can get back to MEL and my MEL residence is a stone throw away from the OT, well a 15-20 minute walk with a bottle shop on the way. After the dinner is over returning to the DPRSA will be the problem.

I am sure at some point @boomy and I will be able to return to (blow in/out) MEL for an OT catch-up. To all that can attend have a great night.

Good afternoon Cruiser. I did want to attend this function, but regret that I am unable to attend.
I hope all the attendees enjoy themselves, and know that Olive Tree wont disappoint you.
Please accept my apologies for the late advice.
