Hello,

Was wondering if this is open to anyone or do you already have to know someone personally?

I could actually be in ML that weekend and thought it could be a fun you to meet a few like minded peeps.

Also If I was to attend how would one explain to ones girfriend that I was going to a bar to meet some folks that I'd never met from the internet?? haha!

Another thing, does anybody know how to reply to threads from an Iphone? As I am in the lounge every couple of weeks and can guest up to three people I think, and I always travel alone!

Im Pretty sure these events are open to any forum member. I've met a couple of AFF members over the past two years. This will be my first organised 'do' though.

As I work in a "dynamic environment", (which simply means nobody knows where they will be until they actually are there!!), I would be unable to confirm until a few days out, but am keen to turn up if that would be ok.

Yes, these are events are open to anyone and everyone. Newbies are welcome.

Discussion usually revolves around travel, flying, and associated points earning strategies.



It is good if you can post to let the organiser know that you are coming (or tentative), so they can arrange an appropriately-sized table / area with the venue.

I've booked Blue Train for 5.30 but I'll need confirmation from the "maybes" by Wednesday 31st so I can confirm with the restaurant on the Thursday.

If they have now moved, the new location is up on Level 3, and towards the other end of Southgate Plaza (the same building).

For those coming from St Kilda Rd you can reach the restaurant without using stairs by walking around the river side of Hamer Hall (at road level) and across the footbridge directly into Southgate Plaza.

I was under the impression that it was going to be a larger premises, a bit further along (near the escalators).

However I haven't actually been there since the move, and don't think I will until Friday, so I guess we will find out then.
