MEL dinner/drinks Sat 21 December

There is a gathering in SYD on the 21st that I am unable to get to, and was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat.

I was thinking dinner on Southwharf/bank somewhere, followed by a restorative tonic.

I have made a tentative booking at HSW so the exec lounge "may" suit for pre-dinner drinks, depending on numbers (of HH Diamonds, that is).

I'm a possible as well, however flight prices look so ridiculous that I may not be able to afford it. My mum arrives on the 21st, so might suggest she fly to MEL not BNE and spend a night there and meet any of the fabulous people that turn up

OOL MEL on the 21st is only $134, not bad, and accommodation is very cheap.
