MEL dinner/drinks Sat 21 December

It was a great night, thanks to Jessica for organizing the event, great group of old friends and new as well, not to big not to small, now to have a rest.

A fabulous night indeed. So fabulous in fact that I am nursing a sore head in the J lounge at MEL waiting for my ADL flight. Oh well, self inflicted so no sympathy.

It was great to be able to catch up with some old faces, and meet some new ones as well. I will be writing to HSW for thank them for their hospitality in the exec lounge, and for going the extra mile for us. The food and service at Bohemian was also excellent, and I have to make a habit of a chocolate filled donut when I am in the vicinity - serious yum.

But I reserve the biggest thanks to those who came along, for without AFFers, there is no AFF.

And finally, in true AFF fashion, as I left breakfast this morning Aeolius said "See you in ADL tomorrow"! And so the journey continues...

Truly this was an excellent event, due to excellent organisation by Jess, great effort by HSW, and a good dinner at Bohemian. Of course the people that attended completed the picture. And for those that didn't attend a picture of breakfast entree skilfully plated by Aeolius. No slop here!

I Couldn't Really add much more to such warm & gracious comments, except to say Thanks a million for organising such a great event Jess, especially considering that the time involved in organising this event was your own.

For my 4th AFF gig in Melbourne, I'll have to say that they keep getting better & better.
Always new friends made & valuable tips learnt at every event.

My only regret is that we didn't book a room at the Hilton for the night so we could have stayed longer, so many people so little time, still a great night! there's always next time and thanks to serfty's advice I'll try and pursue Hilton Diamond instead of Starwood Plat..
