re: MEL Dinner & Drinks [Saturday Nov 6th 2010]

Getting close to decision time.

I was available 2nd October, but no-more  ;).

November 6th works best for me. :D

I'm down for the 6th!

re: MEL Dinner & Drinks [Saturday Nov 6th 2010]

6th looks like it's good, is muitalP still around after the comment on the "fat controller" thread (made mention he wanted his account cancelled, not sure if that was in jest or not) and hasn't posted since...

Does someone else want to pickup this and run with it (I'm not volunteering :P)

I have spoken with munitalP about this, and his comment was that someone else will have to pick this up. Any takers?

November 6 does look like the preferred date though.

I'll run with it for the 6th November.

Since this is "Stakes" day, venue availability may be restricted, so bookings needed soon.*

It was suggested the "Meat and Wine Co". Now while I had no issue with my food on Anzac day, some have expressed reservations.

So, if some would like to suggest another venue, please do so.

*FWIW, I made a spec. accommodation booking at my favourite hotel for that evening at the inception of this thread. I just checked, and the rate has just about Doubled from that which I booked.

I know where I won't be staying then

After communicating with the OP, I can confirm Saturday November 6th is the date.

I propose dinner at the Hilton South Wharf; there we will get 20% off F&B with MAQ Hilton Premium Club.

Home - Nuevo37

Note this is the evening after "Stakes Day" so early booking is paramount.

If any have alternative suggestions that are bookable please post ASAP.

If you are happy with that selection then please advise attendance w numbers.

Serfty,

Derby Day is the week before. The 6th is Stakes Day. Shouldn't be as busy.

But my apologies as I will be camping that weekend in the bush!

Enjoy!

Enjoy your camping; you are correct.

Are you referring to Nuevo 37, or are we going to be eating pastries at the cafe?
Pastries if you wish, but definitely Nuevo 37.

Myself and +1 are planning to be there!

Not sure whether we will be staying the night at the Hilton though

A definite maybe. This will come back to finding suitable accommodation and convincing SWMBO that we can leave on our HNL trip a couple of days early..
