Please do - will be good to meet another member :)

Im definitely not going to make it; heading to the doctors this arvo to see if they can give me anything to help this cough on its way. Hope you all have a great night!

Logistics for tonight:

boxo do #2 is on tonight at The Long Room.

A table for 14 has been booked under my name. I will be arriving late from work, hopefully between 6:30pm and 7:00pm. Most of you will have my cellphone number, and I will PM those who may not have it yet.

How it works:

TAPAS:

There is a $28 all-you-can-eat tapas special. I suggest we all do this - It is good value and the food was good last time we went here.

Once we get started, tell the waiter/waitress that you want to do the $28 all-you-can-eat tapas special. They will provide you with a small side plate, napkin and cutlery - you keep these for the course of the evening.

The actual food (tapas plates) can only be ordered two per person at one time. Once a round of plates is finished they are cleared, then you can order another 2 tapas plates. And then another 2 tapas plates, and so on until you are full. (I think this is to help reduce food wastage).

There is a large number of small things to try (or pick favourites) - http://www.thelongroom.com.au/lr/uploads/documents/Tues Weds Tapas1.pdf

À LA CARTE:
If you are really really against tapas, please advise the staff not to give you a tapas plate and order from the à la carte menu. Please note that if you eat tapas and à la carte you may be charged for both, and I will not be paying for you!

DRINKS:
At bar prices

The Long Room is a bar on weekends, so the bar is well stocked. The wine list is a little thin and on the expensive side, but should be adequate.

Some of us will probably keep going for a while...

I have PMed my cellphone number. If you are running late give me a call or SMS and I will let you know what our status is.

If you make it to the end and like dessert, I can recommend the Churros. But don't let them convince you its enough to share, could have had a whole serve to myself.

Consider me confirmed. :) I loooooove Long Room tapas! And it's my last chance to party with samiam before he goes overseas

We had a magnificent night and missed your company. Some people have moved on elsewhere to partake of wine. I refrained and caught a train home.

Look forward to the next time when we can regale people with F lounge visits.
