That is one of the many drawbacks to having a SmartCard only solution...I won't get into politics but the government really botched myki up!

Almost all the places I visit in Asia allow you to purchase a ticket from a machine using cash. Why are we so different in Australia?

And yes I know a lot of people dodge paying fares but when they are caught the penalties are light.

Don't even ask - myki is a complete stuff up.

Looks like winter arrived early this year, it's bloody cold in MEL. Makes me even more grateful for my weekly flights to QLD and the upcoming trip to Europe :)

Tell me about it ! 6 Degree's at 6:30am on quite a few mornings this week...... This is my first Winter in Melbourne too...... still getting used to it!

How about Tazio?
Tazio Birraria Pizzeria & Cucina

Their pizza is actually quite good IMHO ($17-20), although they changed their tap beer about ~4 months ago which created a few waves among the Friday lunch crowd.

And they are a QANTAS partner, so we can argue over who gets the points...

Sounds good to me. And close to Flinders St station for those in "training".

Indeed, it is a short walk to both Flinders St and Parliament stations.
