G'day again all. I assumed it would be ok to turn up.
I hope so as I am on my way in on the train.
it was a bit presumptuous of me.

It's fine... See you soon

Well fed , well irrigated, I'm now on a chariot home ... enjoyable top off to a long day (starting 4:30am) comprising 2 train trips, 2 bus trips, 4 plane trips, network outage and recovery, great pizza, good wine and a convivial meetup.

See ya next time ...

We just ordered the 3rd bottle of red... Beers, coughtails, wine, everything goes tonight :)

I was hoping to have finished by 4pm, but have only just so have to be a late scratching for dinner.

Have a great birthday, JohnK ;), and I will see you in HKG.

And before anyone makes a smart comment, penegal and I are not related.

Didnt want to go without me? :p

No photo's of the event.

Which means nothing bad happened as we have no photo's.

Just recovered from my own Category 4 Hangover from last night's activities.

It was great meeting some new & familiar faces last night & look forward to more AFF events around Melbourne in the coming few weeks.

Mine wasn't too bad. Recovered by eating my way through the South Melbourne Market.

I probably had one drink too many last night so I decided today will be a (rare) alcohol-free Sunday.

Another good Melbourne event. The back end of the evening is a little hazy, but I think I win the prize for staying out the latest... Oops.

Around silly-o-clock while stumbling around a dubious venue trying to order a beer I ran into the artist formally known as samiam. In a rare moment of weakness I agreed to book some Jetstar economy class tickets to visit Mascot for lunch with Lawless and him. It was then that I decided that I should probably go home.

Surprisingly no hangover here, just a little tired.

Thank you to slc767338 for booking the venue. I'm sorry that I didn't really get to talk to you before you left. Hope to see you at the next event. Also good to meet Goodonya for the first time and boomy, who I think I have actually met before.

And thanks to everyone who came. It's always good to catch up.

By the way what was the name of the pub we went up after the restaurant? Got back to Glen Waverley ~1:30am and slept at ~2:30am. Way too much alcohol had me feeling off colour this morning.

Goodonya has some photos from the pub with a ring in appearing in the photo. ;)

THE Elephant & Wheelbarrow

Really enjoyed my first AFF event and meeting everyone. Great night. Plenty of beer and wine at the restaurant and whilst most had one glass at a time JohnK orders himself a "bucket" of Coronas (cheaper by the dozen) and remember he was also the "birthday" boy so had access to the two free coughtails as well. The Elephant & Wheelbarrow after finished me off so much so that I missed my stop on the train after falling asleep waking up one stop too late. Had to walk back as no more trains. Got to bed sometime after 2am.
