As some may remember from the Hilton Meeting thread, I am down in MEL from Sun 19th to Fri 24th Jan, for a 3 day Conference and subsequently seeing clients on Thursday & Friday. I'll be staying at Hilton South Wharf for 5 nights :D

The only night I am available is Thursday and I suggest that we meet somewhere for drinks/dinner. Knowing that it is Australian Open Week 1 and accom is scarce, I would think that restaurant availability for drinks/dinner might also beat a premium. As I'm not au fait with MEL, I'm up for suggestions (particularly to make it not far out of CBD for easy access and good parking for locals).

I expect to finish my appts around 5pm and likely to finish either in the CBD, South Melbourne or South Yarra, so earliest I think I'll be ready will be netween 6pm and 6.30pm, that said it doesn't mean that you need to wait for me to start drinks.

I've given admin & the Mods an advance heads up and expect that there will be a good turn out from them. So who's in and what suggestions for a venue?

Platinum - "hell yes, I'm there"

Put me down down for Platinum, accommodation booked (thank goodness for IHG points).

I fly back to SYD on the 22nd, so unfortunately I'm out. Don't want to change my flight as it's on JQ and involves an F lounge :p

i'm a probable, depending on work (will be working at the Tennis)..

As it is the second week, the crowds etc have died off a bit so getting a restaurant shouldn't be too hard. always options at Southgate..

I'll be there, coming after work, for Pere dinner drinks and maybe dinner - SWMBO is less likely.

Damn I would break my neck to get there but alas have small procedure in hospital morn of Fri 24th which will also keep me away from men's semi final night at tennis - damn.

I am a scratching, Melbourne is just a bit too far away from Perth.

You could add penegal to the list, he calls himself a local,

He best fits, Silver - "maybe, depends,...I just can't make up my mind"

Gees... no pressure :p

I thought penegal spent more time away from home than he does at home.

I am away quite a lot, and often forget where I actually live :p :p

As I posted elsewhere, I will come if work allows...

Sorry for the delay in updating thread, the lack of access with iPhone and iPad has been disconcerting.

Now it's getting critical mass numbers-wise. admin & every Mod apart from NM (who I know can't make it) - not a bad turn out so far. Surely there are more MEL-based AFF'ers...
