If QF gave me a bonus of any points I would keep my mouth shut and thank who ever at QF that decided I was "worthy" of the "gift" earn.
(((My JQ flight got cancelled in Dec last year, had to pay extra to fly back to ADL with QF on the day JQ did the cancellation. Reason was work.
JQ gave me another 800 QFF points and another 10 QF SC.
I did not query the extra benefit with JQ for which I didn't fly.)))

So you got double earning for the one JQ flight, or it was the earning applicable to the cancelled flight? In the second case that would be entirely within your entitlement.

More complicated... Not for the cancelled flight Medhead, but the replacement next day.
Cancelled so I booked and paid (whY tix) for a flight QF flight, shined my QF SG card, got the points.
Then got the JQ points and SC earn too.

As you should get with an Original routing Credit. Others can say I'm wrong, but I firmly believe that earning is mandatory if they cancel your flight and you end up travelling under your own steam. therefore you didn't get anything that wasn't deserved anyway.
