Men's toilets at MEL Lounge

I wonder if the Melb Lounge Cleaning Lady for the Men's loos knows she has such an active thread on AFF. Maybe she is reading this and having a chuckle to herself :D I do see her in the ladies regularly too, she's always pleasant

Was there on the weekend. The cleaning lady is still there. She really is getting to know the regular passengers. When I was there, she was having a in depth conversation about family with one of the passengers while restocking the soap.

Well I have to add my story. This thread has reminded me of a time in Bangkok where you received a quick shoulder massage by the male toilet attendant while you went about your business at the trough-I still have a laugh with my mate about his very nervous reaction to the unexpected start of his massage

I can remember taking care of business at CDG, having to raise one foot and then the other while Mrs Mop cleaned the floor around me.

Haven't seen this thread active for a while (last post 2013). I was in BNE VA lounge on Thursday night and the sign on the cleaning in progress sign at the men's toilet door stated there was a female cleaner in the toilets and sorry for the inconvenience.

Big deal with female / male cleaners - we have dicks and they have what the POTUS grabs - nothing new about that.

But I must say toilets in MEL VA Lounge when I used it 6 weeks ago at 8am one morning were bordering on disgusting - reported it on way out with what appeared to be little concern to Lounge staff.

Could start a new thread on this as slightly off topic.

What is with the state of toilets in airports across Australia? Every time they are super disgusting, to the point I'd rather not make contact with taps there in case I catch anything, or I need a face mask and some sort of room deodorizer in case I pass out from ammonia gases, or certain facilities are out of order. A pig farm is cleaner in most instances. This goes for MEL, BNE, CNS, PER.... CBR seems to have better facilities but I guess this is due to lower pax numbers.

In comparison in many international ports I can eat off the floor...

I generally find the toilets in QF and VA lounges to be satisfactorily clean about 75% of the time, which is acceptable to me.

Yes, travelling in Asia et al, you better overcome stage fright very quickly. (just thinking, this is one lesson on travelling OS that nobody ever suggests/recommends)

Yesterday in the TG lounge in BKK the woman kept moping the floor near where I was standing!

You think MEL VA lounge toilets are bad? Try SYD. This morning two blocked-ready-to-overflow commodes, one each in both ground floor lavs. Not to mention the fact there aren't enough of them in the first instance. Sure there are bigger problems, but I tend to just use the main terminal lavs now, couldn't be bothered queuing. At least the coffee is still good.
