Yeah. We've had the postie and a parcel delivered today. Strange. Unfortunately, none from QF but TKWIA.

For those getting Grange - are you being told you are one of their Top 200 flyers or any other hint why you've been singled out for the "Grange treatment" versus a couple of bottles of cheap plonk?

I got one too, but in a wooden box, one of the bottles was Grange, and the letter was signed by AJ :)

There are probably some staff and customers that got very excited hearing about a wooden box with AJ's name on it!!

"how many SCs does such n such have to get that??"... "why havent i got mine??"" ...etc..etc..etc... the OP was probably thinking they were just posting a nice good gesture story...and now look at the can of worms its opened!! (but sadly im not surprised!!) THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISMAS IS ALIVE AND WELL ON AFF

Bruised egos? That's a bit of a stretch IMO. We should remember that lots of people here like to find out about the inner workings of things likes this, hence questions that try to measure the whys and wherefors.

I'm not sure that the "true meaning of Christmas" and corporate gift giving are ever particularly connected! I agree though that this was always going to be a can of worms given the seemingly random nature of the gift giving. And yes, for the 2nd Xmas running as a P1, no QF gift received at GDV Towers.... ;-)

I say good on those who receive something! Anything extra is a bonus! And for those that didn't...that only means good karma from the upgrade gods will come your way in 2013!

Well if you received something enjoy....if you didn't lets hope 2013 will view you more favorably!! I try not to compare myself to others there are always some better off and some worse off.

I got the dreaded handshake from the CSM today but it was more than mitigated by the bottle of Taittinger and greeting card in his other hand.
Don't know yet if the postie has left anything.

Edit: And a second bottle on boarding my flight to KTA this afternoon.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but having previously complained about not receiving a gift, it's only fair to report that I received two bottles this morning from Qantas (27th Dec). Perfect timing for a New Year's Eve drink.
