MH J earn

Of course not, but point is there is an earn where on Malaysia there is not. Let me edit the post.

MH still earns too. Just not well. East Cost to KUL discount economy is 15 SCs on MH (class BHKLMVY) v 30 SCs on QF and business is 30 SCs on MH (class ACDFIJZ) v 120 SCs on QF. Some MH and CX discount economy classes earn 0.

And then there is the fare cost to consider. I just did a random check for the cheapest economy fare to LHR. Both CX (class S) and MH (class Q) earn zero QF points and SCs. But MH was $200.00 cheaper.

It could also have been a sweetner for EK to join QF, by QF reducing QFF points and QF SC earn, so pax going to KUL, if they want to earn the most, will have to fly EK instead of flying MH.
Granted pax that do not care for QFF points earn/QF SC earn, will still pay for MH J if the fare is cheaper/cheapest.
For DavidJ, QFA did fly into KUL many years ago, in its own right.
Now its ceded that to EK.
In about 1998, my first QFi flight, I did fly QF SYD - KUL - SYD. My first visit to Sepang KUL airport.

MH J on aus to kl and kl to europe earn as equivalent to full fare economy. so yes there is an earn...

No not a business earn, which is the whole point of this thread

Then consider the cost of the business class fares.

MEL-LHR return for next month is:

QF: $8,221.00
CX: $7,679.85
MH: $5,939.75

So QF and CX are ca $2,000.00 more expensive than MH. And with some minor creative ticket purchasing, it can be a bigger difference than that.

SIN-KUL-SIN in J from MHUpgrade in July
The satay was 3 sticks and the edible part was also a bit shorter as well. They do give you a solitary Lindt chocolate ball.
