Tis indeed a lovely day - my room overlooks Cavell st and there was indeed some street noise last night ...

We overlook orchid ave, and yes it was noisy.
I have to say there are some big gaps for me with this hotel.
Room very nice, bed very comfortable, pillows awful, foyer: noisy, hollow unwelcoming......but then concrete and stone seem to have replaced carpet and wood.... , no " pull in " to speak of. Over all I find it amixed experience so far , looking forward to the restaurant though. I've heard good things about it.

I am scheduled to arrive at BNE around midday (probably half past given pandemonium at MEL). Let's meet at the VA lounge and do lunch.

We have space in our car. Planning on leaving BNE around 1:30ish, detouring by the bayside to deposit small person in a secure location. Can have 1-2 in our back seat if needed, and can pick up from the airport.

Finally - through!!

After 20 mins of security reopened, CNS Airport (the holders of all knowledge and wisdom in this world) decided to open the 3rd screening channel.

ETA 12:30 ish in BNE.

We've just checked in at the HSP. Upgraded to a nice 2 bedroom Ocean view suite on 43rd floor. Very nice. Now off to find wrapping paper for our KK gifts. See you all later!
