I have a flight arriving into Sydney with VA @ 06.20 from AUH. Our onward flight with DJ departs @ 08.00 to Perth, is that enough connection time?

Our bags are not checked through as the flights are on different itineraries, they were booked separately. Should I change to the later DJ flight and chill out in the Lounge for a couple of hours?

If I change the flight, will the new DJ lounge be finished by then? April 28th....

Absolutely change!

100 minutes is a really risky connection given separate bookings, terminals etc.

Take the lounge access for a couple of hours; maybe a shower and freshen up.

Thanks for your help mate, changed it to the 13.00 flight just now!

A 100 minute connection is possible, but I wouldnt start with that.

My personal preference is 2.5hr at SYD when connecting INT --> DOM

I have flown in on VA2 like 5 times and have never came close to making the 8.15am service to Melbourne, let alone the 7.45am service they advertise.

With VA1 soon moving early morning, thus might create a few problems for some connecting from BNE/MEL considering they advertise flights from these cities with as little as 1hr15mins connections in syd. And as everyone would know, delays into sydney in the morning are quite common!

Sunstar, do you know what time VA1 will be moving to? And what time it would then arrive at LAX? We're booked to fly SYD-LAX on this flight in November, we're flying in from Perth to connect and at the moment arrive in Sydney at 0600. A bit anxious if the VA1 flight time is to change, as that will obviously throw out our flight from Perth as well as connecting flight in LA to Las Vegas.

Thanks
