Small world, one of my brothers married a girl from Tain in Tain (in 1987).

Fifty years ago, maybe, now, no. Sigh! At least I found a place selling Beer Lao.

I too stumbled upon Beer Lao in Bangkok at a little jazz bar called Smalls. Turns out it made the top 50 in Asia list in 2018. Almost a dive bar atmosphere.
