Small world, one of my brothers married a girl from Tain in Tain (in 1987).

I too stumbled upon Beer Lao in Bangkok at a little jazz bar called Smalls. Turns out it made the top 50 in Asia list in 2018. Almost a dive bar atmosphere.

Looks like a Tawny? My brother had a 'pet' (for want of a better word) one many years back in the early 60s. Had been found on the ground from memory.Tawny used to sit on his shoulder as he did things around the farm - was never in a cage and could leave whenever it wanted. Would fly to my brother whenever he was outside if he was around. He stayed for quite a few years but sadly somehow drowned in one of the farm's dams.
