I met a CL member yesterday who advised that the minimum number of sectors for CL membership was being halved.

Now this was interesting to me as I thought that there was no requirement for flown sectors for CL membership as it was influence rather than BIS that mattered.

Also interesting that they have reduced the number of required sectors in light of the recent article regarding reducing CL members...

The CL I know has never had a minimum number of segments required.

And indeed I know of CL's who fly less than many PS FF'ers.

Maybe some CL's have minimum fly requirements as part of a corporate deal, but as the whole thing is voodoo, who really knows but QF.

I don't think there is a minimum segment number for CL, particularly those who are given CL as a result of their occupation.

I saw the black card so this person was definitely CL and have it I think because their professional position.

There is no minimum travel for a CL member.

There is however a minimum company spend on QF that is required that we are raising by 50%

Maybe thats what he meant?

The CL I know does zero company spend and zero international QF or Oneworld flights! They only fly QF for domestic, but even then it's only the odd flight here and there... maybe a half-dozen a year.

Yes the CL I know some years might not even fly QF but the company spends millions on QF.
