I’m gold on virgin and could use SQ lounge on SQ metal even if LuftHansa ticketed…

The sad outcome is my premium economy LuftHansa tickets we’re only credited on air Nz as full economy

Note the Velocity flight indicates that "flights OPERATED by Singapore Airlines are eligible".

If the flight number related to SIA and you checked in at the singapore airlines counter I don't think there should be a problem. Krisflyer customer service will be able to help in this case.
Note - I have done this on Delta flights in the past but velocity-delta had a tie up.

I was able to use the krisflyer gold lounge at the changi airport last week. I am plat with VFF.
