Let me explain this situation; I currently have 250/300 status credits required to attain silver after a recent Qantas/AA trip to the USA, booked independently (my credits cycle expires Feb 29). However last year I took two group trips to London on Emirates (one in May one in August) and I wasn’t in charge of the bookings but I phoned the agent in charge prior to both trips telling him to book all my Emirates flights on a QF number to ensure I get status credits and he said sure.
I haven’t logged in to my FF account/app until now and I was surprised to see only 250/300 credits, I had a look at the account history and I discovered that the <redacted> agent didn’t book my Emirates flights on a QF flight number as I requested so I earned <redacted> 0 status credits for those trips and I earned 250/300 credits on my independently booked trip, so I miss out by 50 and I don’t have any more trips before the credit cycle expires;<redacted>!
I know it’s a long shot and it’s very unlikely, but if I phone Qantas and explain the situation will I be able to convince them to upgrade me to silver like what was meant to happen? Or should I cope up and suck it up?
