Hey guys,

I've been playing around to work out flights to Europe in June (22nd) from Melbourne. I then wanted to fly back from london ~2nd July via singapore for a few days then from singapore to melbourne. I've been looking around at different flight options but havent had much luck... I know this is peak season so it will be hard to find good flights, but if anyone has any tips or pointers with particular airlines or stop over I'm all open to ideas. I've had a look at expedia br but the flights don't seem great through these times...

Thanks in advance.

Quick and dirty search:
expedia.com.au - CZ via CAN ($2330) and BI via BWN and DXB ($2706)
zuji.com.au - SQ via SIN ($2898)

PS. Other options I've since found are to book return MEL-SIN (around A$1200 on QF/SQ/JQ or less if you're flexible with dates/routing and book through VA website on SQ via PER or EY website via BNE) and SIN-LHR (around S$1300 on EK or QR) sectors separately, but I didn't check the MEL-SIN-LHR connection.

Was just about to suggest similar to AIRwin... ie. book as two separate legs - one to Sing and another from there to LHR. Though I do acknowledge (since making my own bookings like this!) that there is some risk in not having them in the one booking. See how you go?

thanks for the help guys, i ended buying as two separate flights (one way to LHR on etihad) then london->sg->melb home on singapore air. Turns out a lot cheaper than booking return from melb, cheers

Wow, looks like it was around $1440 on EY and GBP763 on SQ? And it's 100% mileage earn on SQ - hope you're a Velocity member!
