It was extremely difficult for me to pick just one place from my travels in 2015. But I think it's hard to go past Rio de Janeiro.

Might need to amend this highlight as we've got quite a few more lined up for the remainder of 2015.

Malta. Loved Malta. Especially from the Monument. With beautiful hymns being played signifying their War effort.

Not many new places for me this year however I was lucky enough to take my first ride in a helicopter. Riding shotgun in a Bell 407 was an awesome experience.

NAN-SUV over the Fijian highlands.

Then some nice low level flying from Suva out to a private island.

Visited New Orleans recently after never having an opportunity to visit. Loved the unique culture and laid back vibe, great music, good beer, fascinating history. Would recommend to anyone visiting the states.

Photo not working. You'll need a description!

Great thread.
My photo shouldn't need any description. :)

Merry Christmas all, and a safe, happy new year!

The most interesting place I visited this year was the Ross Sea region of Antarctica. It is full of interesting places, but I visited Captain Scott's 'Terra Nova' hut on my birthday, making it even more special, for me!

There are some truly spectacular places that you guys on this thread have visited! The Polar Bear is a distinct favourite!

Going on a bit of a tangent, I haven't visited any 'interesting' places this year (unless you count the new Ikea store at Marsden Park lol!), but our current au pair was in absolute amazement at visiting Wentworth Falls & Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. She exclaimed that it is the most special place she has ever been to (this coming from a girl that has traveled Europe/USA and is herself from the French Caribbean island, Guadeloupe).

It is amazing what we take for granted in our own 'backyard' that others visiting would claim it as a bucket list destination!

It works for me. Anyone else? It's the statue of liberty in the foreground and NYC in the background.

I can see it.... I am on a pc. Sometimes handheld devices (smartphone/iPad) won't display images?? Could this be the issue?

Very hard to pick a single place...but I was really impressed by the beauty of the rugged coast of New Caledonia near Bourail (where the new Sheraton Deva is).

Very envious SuePa. I have fingers and toes crossed that we might be able to have our own Ross Sea adventure in January 2017
