Loading on this flt MEL-SGN J 20/29 - ED (Economy Deluxe) 35/35 - Y 200/283

So 9 spare sets in J and yet they still ran out of Honey Ice Cream before they got to me - bummer đź‘Ž

Overall food more than acceptable đź‘Ť

O/n at Ibis Hotel SGN Airport - nothing spectacular but it did the job - they have a open roof top bar called T Bistro which was really on the warm side given it was still over 30deg

Before the reds I did have a couple seriously liberal pours Bombay Sapphire and Tonic - also had a third glass of this coughty Chilean Cab Sav also but somehow forgot the pic - oh red served straight out of fridge also.

As for the rib eye - about all I can say was it wasn't dissimilar to what the outside of this beast ended up as - boot leather!

Up at the crack of the birds to get 05:00 shuttle back to airport - I did walk over to Ibis from terminal as it is only 8mins walk but not for the faint hearted - you need to walk on the roads for a fair bit and dodge the crazy drivers so if you not fleet of foot best you don't try'

1 Lotus Lounge up on 3rd level open - 2 others on level 2 closed - here are some pics:

SGN-PVG was where it all fell down - YES it is only ~4hrs but in this day and age recliners on a 321 for an International Flight just doesn't cut itIMG_0206.JPGIMG_0207.JPG - breakfast was served with ZERO Westen options - chicken with noodles - beef with rice / fish with something - it was very ordinary and pretty well sealed the deal for me re ever contemplating this airline / route again.
