Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If you are doing an MR (Mileage Run) that requires several same day/short connection transits, having checked luggage is likely to cause problems with mis-connected baggage (you make the flights, your baggage does not).

As for YUPs, look here: (Note that the fares for the routes mentioned in that thread are no longer as as cheap, other fares/routes as noted in this thread are available).

Can someone explain why you shouldn't check baggage? My google-foo is weak tonight (most searche results include the term "yup" rather than tha YUP booking class)
The classic example is my ORD-LGA-TPA mileage run in August. I had a 1.5 hour connection in LGA and checked my luggage through to TPA. The next day I was travelling TPA-MIA-ORD-LHR-ATH all with plenty of connection time.

The ORD-LGA flight was delayed for 30 minutes and then did not take-off for another 30 minutes. I got into LGA with barely enough time to change terminals and make the LGA-TPA flight. Sadly my luggage did not make it and I did not receive the luggage in ATH until a week later.

I should be thankful because some people never get to see their luggage again and what I saw in ATH confirms it.
