NAB 40,000 Velocity bonus & no annual fee in 1st year

do you get the bonus points if you are an holder of the nab qantas card? the T&C is not very clear? or can I open the NAB qantas card first and cancel once i get the bonus points then apply for this one??? keen to get your understanding

You're right it's not clear. I'm not sure I know the answer with any certainty. But for $0 I'm giving it a go.

If it is that card, I draw attention to the following term:

'Offer is not available when closing/transferring from another NAB credit card account or in conjunction with any other NAB credit card offer.'

Looking at this again I found the exact same terms as part of several other offerings from NAB.

This for example is from the Qantas Rewards Premium Card:

'[FONT=&amp]Offer commences 23 December 2017. Offer available to approved applicants who apply for a new NAB Qantas Rewards Premium Card by 31 March 2017. Offer is available online and through the Retail & Direct channels. Offer is not available when closing/transferring from another NAB credit card account or in conjunction with any other NAB card offer, including other Qantas bonus points offers.'

[/FONT]I know I've always got the points, although I've never held 2 different NAB cards simultaneously. I cancel one and then reapply for either the same or another one frequently with NAB.

No Betty, OP never confirmed. It's possible it's a different card to the one that others have provided the link to.

Ha! I was scanning this thread looking for the same info. I see the expiry date of the offer is May, so I might hold off for a month cause I need to meet my St George minimum spend (although February is rates month in Victoria so that should cover that!). And I think I only cancelled my most recent nab card last week.

Like the first year free, happy days!

My application was approved instantly.

Follow up SMS today telling me I should have my card in 3 to 5 days.

All three cards earn NAB Rewards points which can be manually converted into frequent flyer points as follows, with a minimum transfer amount of 3,000 NAB Rewards points at a time.

I applied and said we are processing....
So I rang and as I used my short name on last PLAT black card(had closed it) ...they said I used my long name in this application and needed to be identified\update system to long name in branch to move the process along.....After all the ID questions...WTF???
So my Virgin Velocity has my short name...will this be an issue if this card is with Long name?
Should be just Velocity number points to transfer into?
The application did not ask for Velocity number?

This card is for NAB Rewards points. You can choose to move them in 3K lots to VA where 40K Reward Points becomes 20K VA points.

They wont need this unless you intend to transfer to velocity at a later stage.
