NAB Qantas credit cards

For peoples information, the NAB Qantas Platinum card is not properly integrated into NAB's systems. This makes things very difficult.

For example, you can change credit cards with most of NAB credit cards. Not the Platinum.

You can transfer your credit limit from one NAB credit card to another. Not the Platinum.

You can add most NAB personal credit cards into your Business Banking profile on Internet Banking. Not the Platinum.

I have had a credit card with NAB for over 5 years. My credit limit was significantly more than the Platinum minimum credit limit. I had hoped to just change my existing card to the Platinum card.

Applying for the Platinum card was the most difficult credit card application process I have ever done. I was told that I could not change my existing NAB card to the Platinum card and was told I had to do a new application. After doing a new application, I had to chase it up so many times. And it was still stuffed up with me receiving a Gold Qantas card and a Platinum Qantas card.

At least I have the Qantas Platinum card now. Hopefully won't have to contact NAB for a while. The fee is quite expensive considering what you get. I expect that when it comes to renewal time I would have spent around $1m on it (small business expenses) so I hope that they will consider waiving the fee.

Oh well, my card was established as a product transfer from Amex Gold Ant... and I kept the credit limit... No new application was needed... When did you apply?

Brings back memories. I used to use the NAB Gold Ant card as my main card ages ago. It was a good card. And I could link that card to my business internet banking profile. I eventually had no need for that card as I got an Amex Platinum card instead and I had changed the Gold Ant card to a basic card (Visa Mini card) just to keep the card and credit limit in case of emergency with the intention to change it to a better card if NAB introduced a better card in the future.

It seems luckily for you they made your change easy because they wanted to close down the Ant cards.

I applied recently... in April.

It's weird for them not transferring your visa to platinum....(So long your limit > 12.5k) I suppose it's for their best interest to earn better annual fee??

Guess Nab is quite unpredictable nowadays...and have been doing lots of stupid stuff - Like withdrawing the ATM fee free from gold banking etc....

They said they were not able to transfer the card because the Platinum Qantas card is new and not integrated into their system. I checked both my calling them and going into the branch.

This lack of "integration" is troublesome as a cardholder. Can't transfer my credit limit from my other card, can't change card, can't view details in by normal NAB internet banking profile.

LOL....That's interesting.

When I first applied, it wasn't "integrated" in mid Oct but then they fixed the issue in Nov 2008.

Also, no problem with internet banking whatsoever... Works as normal as it can be....

I'm also have trouble viewing details for a NAB gold QF card in internet banking. I think is works about 1 time in 10.

BTW the free ATM was withdrawn from gold banking because of the Reserve Bank not because of NAB deciding to do that. They could have handled the change better or done something else but that change has affected everybank not just NAB.

Although the change of regulation was originated from RBA, it is however, NAB's decision to pass the charge onto the customers. Bankwest still has the zero ATM fee account for all ATMs.

As I said they could have handled it better. But it wasn't something that NAB choose to do.

Besides it is double bad of Choice Package customers, not only do we not get the free ATMs anymore, but the package fee has gone up $20. Despite NAB no longer having to pay for us to use other ATMs and also putting down the gold banking fee.

Im current in the process of applying the bankwest one...

My plan ...Just transfer 2500 into the account and leave 500 cash in them for ATM and transfer back 2000 into my gold banking

I'm sick of gold banking.

I'm sick of NAB, especially the voice response system they have on the phone

HAHA....:p

Well I don't listen to it anymore...
Call the platinum line press 1 for service, at least i get the real people on the phone with no wait time...Then ask them to transfer me to relevant department

I don't what to speak to anyone! :p

I just want to unlock my internet banking password.

If only I had a $1 for everytime I've had to say that, after vopice boy has put me on hold to speak to a CSR.
