I don't think you've got a problem, read what I said above.

I got the NAB card back in October 15 and got the points, I'd moved to an ANZ card in May, cancelled the NAB one at the start of July (found out later it was still active). Found out about this promotion, reapplied at the start of August, crossed the spend and got the points last week.

Thank you for the feedback. That is a good enough case study for me.

That's good, as that is what I have done - applied whilst 1st card is still active. I wonder if we can do this again before October ....

Approved!

How's this for an application history:

- Applied online
- 2 days later contacted to be informed not eligible for $6k credit card, $3k only
- Contacted team back next day, complained about it, stated they will manually review for $6k
- Contacted 3 days later, told that $6k conditionally approved, need to send in payslips
- Submitted payslips via email
- 2 days later called to be told, $6k declined, eligible for $3k. Asked why - told my income didn't match what I put down (stupid HECS)
- Asked for manual review for $6k
- Next day manual review declined, $3k eligible
- Complained once more - stated going back to Westpac (which I was), they said no problem, will submit for $6k again
- Called today - $6k approved card is on its way.

2-3 weeks went by, but hey 75k points will be in my VA account in a few months.

NEVER... GIVE... UP!

What I'd do to take a look at the notes on that application! FYI best number to ring for application is (1300 361 138 option 1), don't go through the Call Center route as they aren't very helpful.

Nice work mate. Now you just need to persists with Macquarie for that other cc approval. Enjoy the points.

So far 60K points earlier this year then cancelled, 75K in July and have cancelled and will now go for the trifecta next week. NAB at the top of my CC love list right now.

Exactly. There is nothing about waiting periods in the T&C's that I can find so they either don't approve the card (because they know you are just flipping them) or they give you another set of bonus pts.

Yes,you'll receive either cards and welcome pack by mail, or rejection letter by mail

I applied recently and proactively sent through income evidence. I hadn't heard anything at all since, so I called up today to check if they needed anything more.

The helpful agent said it was conditionally approved subject to someone manually checking my income, which she did on the spot and processed it. I received a text within half an hour saying the cards were on the way.

So, if you've applied and haven't heard anything, it doesn't hurt to call and ask and they might be able to push it through more quickly.

Another interesting thing to note - I have never held any NAB account or card before, but no credit enquiry has come up on my Veda file and the alerts usually come up straight away. Not sure if they didn't do one with VEDA or it's just slow to come through, but it would be nice to have 1 less enquiry on my file if I can get away with it.

My Veda showed up - sounds like an issue with Veda as it's highly unlikely NAB would issue a credit card without that check. If they did - score! (lucky you).

Ah well, it's been 48 hours+ now and still nothing on Veda, so I might just be in luck. Means I can jump right in to the 75k ANZ offer without hesitation now that it's back to fee free.

I've had quite a lot of dealings with The National over the years and I'd say it's very likely that they didn't check Veda.

I could spend hours detailing a lifelong comedy of errors, but the icing on the cake was when we inadvertently didn't have to pay a mid-five-digit amount of mortgage insurance...

I have about 10 other data points that suggests their IT runs on steam.

Does anyone know what the minimum income level required for the NAB Premium card is? Trying to figure out if my wife can apply. Most other banks state this information publicly, but NAB doesn't seem to.

Are you sure about the ANZ offer being fee-free? I can't find anything on-line to suggest that. It doesn't affect me (I can't get the offer as I have only just cancelled my ANZ Black so can't get the offer again) but I just don't want anyone hit by an unexpected $425 fee.
