How long before you got the txt? I applied over a week ago and have heard nothing, except for the Veda alert. Meanwhile, my new Amex is rec'd and required spend achieved.

Had a txt message approval for this card for 15k...just checked credit score and notice that NAB enquiry (activity) reduced my score from 775 very good range....to 601 ok range.....that seems a big adjustment and just as well that I don't have other applications in the pipeline.!!

applied about 10days ago....a couple of phone calls re employment status and send ATO notice of cough...next day approval txt....then veda alert today...we live in country WA so mail always takes extra days...but card is listed on my NAB banking profile

Wow the big dip could it be that NAB offered you a credit limit?

Not sure of reason for the big hit to my credit score....I left it to NAB to decide credit limit, as I was only after sign on points...limit I thought was not important! Maybe next time I'll elect a less amount.....

What proof did they want for income? I cant remember what they asked for last time. I have just returned from 4 weeks leave without pay so my YTD earnings are a little low about 9 K so far this FY but earned in 4 working weeks. I have last years tax group cert and transition to retirement pension that total well over 100K?

Last years ATO 2015 notice of assessment was required in my case....

I applied for this a little over a week ago. Veda credit hit next business day. Telephone conversation, with NAB rep saying application was approved pending proof of income, late last week. Proof of income faxed Monday. Text received Monday acknowledging receipt of documents. Still no confirmation or card at time of writing on Thursday, but for 75k I'm patient. Wonder what it's done for my Veda score!

So far 60K points earlier this year then cancelled, 75K in July and have cancelled and will now go for the trifecta next week. NAB at the top of my CC love list right now.

I was having second thoughts after already doing the double dip. I just thought they might knock me back and didn't want to take the hit on my credit score. After a few beers on Wednesday night I just thought what the heck as I have to wait 8 months or so for the 12 month period on all the other usual suspects.

Got the reply email that they had received my application and called to day to follow up. The lady on the phone said that they thought I had submitted a doubled up application. I explained to her that I cancelled my old card last week. She put me on hold and on return a few minutes later informed me they had conditionally approved my new application pending proof on earnings.

I will send that off so all looks good for another 75K

I just used 204K Velocity points for my and the wife to fly Beijing to Sydney (via Singapore) next year in Singapore Airlines business class. Works out that will cost $450 in 3 X CC annual fees thanks to NAB. Nice.

I wonder if I have time to spend, get pts, cancel and go for the 4th time before Oct. Well obviously wont but if they extend.......Hmmmm

-100 points on my Veda score... Text from the bank today saying card approved. <5 days delivery time apparently.

I am in similar situation ,

Currently hold Qantas Card , applied for this Velocity deal got a call from NAB rep saying application was approved pending proof of income . income proof sent , received a text on Thursday 1 Sep saying document received . Hopefully i can received an outcome next week . Got homeloan with Nab so will get the annual fee waived .

Card fully approved and 3rd card is in the mail.

Confirmed that I am eligible for the bonus pts. 210000 in < 7 months.:)

Mine got approved yesterday. Hopefully will arrive in time to have another AmEx for the September shop small weekend.
After an Amex velocity referral bonus last month, I'm looking at a nice haul of points. Still trying to work out the best way to use them...

Kudos. This is playing above the rim!
I partook in the earlier 60,000 deal but I'll sit this one out in favour of the virgin money offer of 30,000 for $65 (plus $129 virgin flight voucher). I need cash more than points these days.

Received my card. Paid full payment for a cruise that I have booked and bonus pts should be there soon.

If I wanted to slam dunk the whole process the cruise booking is fully refundable for a few months so I could even scoop up the bonus and spend pts to Velocity and then cancel the cruise and return the $$$ spent to earn those points to a fee free card without a pts earn.

Got my card a couple of days ago. Haven't activated it yet. Have to go to a branch to prove my identity I think.

Received the card late July, put the necessary spend through it in the first week. On the 20 August had only 20,000 points post to velocity.... Anyone had this problem?

Rang NAB, they said they'll get back to me this week. Will post outcome.

@Craigie Yes Mrs Grounded had the same issue. I've been gently on her case to call them but so far she has not.

Did you get an outcome?

I already have one card and received the bonus. Is it possible to apply again and receive another bonus without cancelling the first card? (first card is fee free so i'd rather keep it until it comes up for renewal)

I remember your post from earlier. Well done. I had a f*cking drama getting re-approved for my second card this year. It took two applications and two manual reviews and payslips.... I had the same card a couple of months ago I don't get it. Anyways. 210000 is enviable. Between my partner and I we will pool 270000 this year.

My partner doesn't meet the income criteria so I have to chase points hard. I really don't care about my credit rating except I don't want it to stop me getting cards and bonus points as I am semi retired and don't plan to borrow money.

I work part time (when we are not travelling) and hope to churn as many cards as possible for bonus points while I still work enough to meet criteria. So far have been very lucky and after banking this and a the rewards points I have sitting with ANZ and Westpac that are waiting for a transfer bonus will have my tally back over 600K despite just using our first 200K points in for Beijing Sydney J seats on Singapore Airlines next year. These flights way more than covered all of the annual fees I have paid so far.

I have never had any FF points worth a flight before late last year as we usually put up with the cheapest flights we can find so we can afford to travel more or stay away longer. I am glad I discovered these bonus points offers and with the advice provided on here and point hacks we at least can treat ourselves to some comfort that we never envisaged. Now to just find award flights that fit our plans or plans that fit around award flights.
