Applied this morning, was immediately approved (pretty sure that didn't happen last time!) pending summation of the docs supporting my salary & rental income. SMS received confirming they've been received and they will continue processing.

Now just need the limit to be >$6k for the bonus points!

Got my first statement (hit spend in first month), no bonus points. Oh well, pay it off and wait I guess.

Cancelled the card today, held for a total of 3 months. Not sure if I'll apply again or just move onto the next product offering.

If you're not eligible for the AMEX explorer, I think this is the best offering right now! Interested to hear what you decide though?

The offer expires this Sunday, or has it been extended?

Hold Citi Signature, Amex Plat Edge and Amex Velocity - I'm happy with my points balances at the moment. I was going to get with of the Amex Velocity however have a big trip coming up over Xmas/NY so want the bonus points for hotel spend etc Will probably chill out and wait till next for next CC. I like to wait 6-8 months between applications.

lol....really have to have a laugh.

I am in the lucky situation of myself and +1 usually applying for the same cards.....
so after reaching the spend for NAB back in July, ANZ in September......
its now +1's turn for the NAB Card before the offer disappears on 02Oct!

In the middle of applying we get a credit savvy email saying her score just went UP by 149.....(No hits for over 12 months, last for +1 was NAB QF and Amex Velocity in Sep15!)
Will be interesting to see what hit the the score takes next month!

For those of you who already held this card, and then applied for it again without cancelling your first one... did it all work out as expected, and did you get the bonus points?

I was specifically told by the bank to apply for the second one whilst still holding the first one. I have been assured many times that I will get the second bonus. I have made the required spend and will report later.

NAB are usually reliable.

I've taken a lot of points from them without a drama.

Why would they tell you this knowing you're going to cancel anyway since you only applied for the bonus points?
I received the bonus points today. Maybe you got yours too.

I am nowhere near proficient enough to know what or how a bank does it's reasoning. ;) Just as long as I have proof of their advice and 75K points come my way.

I only just did the req'd spend.

Thanks DrRalph, that is heartening.

I am still waiting on my third lot. I called again and was assured I am eligible. T&C's say up to 3 months and that is what the phone rep repeated.

How long ago did you meet your minimum spend jackofspade?

My bonus points took 3 statements to arrive the first time around, although it looks like they are a little faster recently.

Got my bonus points on the 1st as well. I made the qualify spend about 3 weeks ago
