NAB Velocity Rewards Premium- how long to get points?

Any luck getting an answer yet, Scott?

Nope, nothing at all. I'll give them a call today about it if I get time and post results although in honesty, not expecting awful lot here.

I think my hunch is right though, I went and reviewed by Velocity history for the last time I churned one of the NAB offers, it posted about 2 weeks after a statement date which I assume was reflective of the 4 months after transaction date. Mind you the last time I did it was 2013 so its been a little while since I returned to NAB.

Fair enough, thanks for the update! Little impatient here and think its a bit silly that they make you wait 4 months when they charge you the annual fee in the first month anyway!

Followed it up with them today. So my guess was right. They wont push until exactly 4 months after your coughulative transactions spend on the account equal or surpass $1500. So I'll get my first set of points processed by NAB to Velocity on the 21st (which means the 23rd as Velocity is taking about 48hours at the moment to process credit card earns) and around the end of the first week of March I should get the second set from my mums card which she didn't mind taking out for me haha.

They split it up into 20k lots assumably over 3 months? NAB are the worst...

Dear god, thats a joke right? If thats the case, I can't imagine how those NAB home loan guys are going to be feeling. 250K points would take in excess of a year to pay out not including the waiting period before the first points process.

Been 4 months wait on the 18th Feb for me and still no points. Needless to say they will be getting an unpleasant phone call from me tomorrow...

So fun story, I called up again today to follow up as I still have no points in my account from the card even though its been 7 days since NAB processed them. I called NAB to ensure they processed them and was advised that there has been a massive hiccup between NAB and Velocity due to the NAB Home loan promo. Some peoples points haven't processed (e.g. Mine and others on this threads case) or others have had incorrect points pushed to their account as we saw above from andy2015.

They've said they held a meeting with Velocity and NAB senior management to have this resolved and that all should be resolved by COB Friday the 4th of March 2016. Needless to say, I wont be holding my breathe. On a positive note, I did get him to record himself saying that I had definetely qualified for the points which thanks to the miracle of call recording, they cant pretend I didn't qualify for them. But feel free to ring and discuss the matter as it may push the resolution to be a bit quicker.

Thanks for the update scottz95, thats helpful to know. You would think two organisations are able to run two different promotions in parallel, but I guess multi-tasking is not for everyone...

I plan on hopping between cards for bonus points. I just racked up my $1500 spend a few days ago... I might be in for quite a wait it seems...

I'll be following this thread..

60K points posted into my VFF account yesterday. Just checked this morning. That's from reaching the spend threshold in early December. So fairly spot on I guess?

Anyway I got them and now I can move on.
Had used the card for a balance transfer so going to be keeping it for a while yet anyway.
I'm not allowed any new cards for a while, says MrsGM.

Mine got posted yesterday, I reached spending mid January.

I suspect someone at Velocity/NAB realised that there was a massive backlog (per scottz95) and someone is actioning these now.

My wife got her points just after 6 weeks $1500 was spent in the first week

another data point - my points posted sometime over the weekend. I hit the min spend on 2 Dec.

I love this. My mum signed up to the card two weeks after I did and made the minimum spend a week after that. She got hers paid out on Wednesday. Mine is still coming. Needless to say they coped another very coughy phone call today. But hey, I'm glad you guys are finally getting your hard earned points.

I'm worried that NAB is going to stuff up my points. After reaching the min spend in 1 payment the day I received the card in Jan, I then had NAB call me 2 weeks later to confirm a dodgy transaction from overseas. They blocked the transaction and then cancelled and issued a replacement card to ensure the scammers didn't try to put anything through again. Does anyone think this will stuff up my points? As in the system won't correctly identify I've met the spend as they cancelled my card and issued a new one? I haven't spent anything on the new one. Obviously it is the same account so shouldn't be an issue but I am worried with how useless NAB have been for a lot of people..

I would recommend giving them a ring. If you ring up to just check when they are likely to move the points to your account. They will vet that your account has had $1500 minimum spend verbally on the phone and thanks to the miracle of call recording, you have proof that someone at the bank has verified that you have qualified.

Sorry to be a little bit off topic, but how long does it take for everybody's normal monthly reward point earn to appear in their velocity accounts?

I signed up with a NAB home loan (the 250k offer) in mid December and had my first velocity platinum statement in mid February, which said I'd earned around 3000 points. Nothing has shown up in my Velocity account yet. Seems a little bit long but I thought I'd check on here before I give them a call. Hopefully they haven't got the wrong velocity account number recorded!
