That kind of routing makes me want to buy more miles so we can do another F trip. Don't mind booking 330 days out but I would have thought availability would be pretty terrible for 2 people!

Exactly, I used to ask someone to help me before with gift miles, now it's time to return.

My account got the offer and I bought 50k + 50k miles. My dad's account did not get the offer (no bonus when trying to buy miles.) If I login to my account and gift him the 50k miles, will he get 100k (50k + 50k bonus)? It does say the maximum miles received by a person is 50k and I have already received mine, but in theory this should work for him as he has yet to receive any bonus. Anyone done this in practice and can confirm it? It does have the bonus offer when I login to my account and attempt to gift him miles.

I think I might keep my powder dry on this one. Am trying to determine a points approach for my honeymoon next year, but with a lack of flexibility I am thinking *A might need to be the go (if I use points at all).

OT, but does anyone know how frequently United run their buy promos? F on TG to SIN, then a paid flight to MLE is looking attractive.
