New Adelaide Qantas Club & Business Lounge

Any word on when the works commence? I have a morning MH flight out of ADL at the end of May and hoping by some miracle I can use something better than the QC.
Depending on your status / cabin class, you may be able to access Plaza lounge in ADL international. Seems to be a perk if you have access to MH Golden Lounge (which I presume comes with a J fare). Discover the Golden Lounge Experience | Malaysia Airlines

For Squid01, as of now, the QF J lounge and the QP at ADL are combo, and as far as last Dec, no works have been started, so you are not missing out.
I don't think that any major works would have started, if they expect to finish it that fast, ie, by your flight date month of May.
Goss on here is the works in relation to ADL QF lounge is not visible, not sure how this is so, ...
I have flown out of ADL with QF a lot in the past, over the past few years, and have not seen any visual changes in relation to the QF ADL lounge, unless they are in a tie in with the Plaza Premium lounge after immi downstairs.
Plaza Premium, as Sww199 mentioned, is newer, if you want to try a lounge esperience.
As you are a QP member, you will know what the QP ADL is like, and as QF J flier, I can't see the difference between the two.
If CL is in equation, then yes, that would be a +++.
But for ADL QP and QF ADL J lounge, no difference.

Thanks, so it's just as per usual at the QC then.

I'll be flying in J. Will I get access to the Plaza Premium lounge?

Not many airlines are using the Plaza Premium lounge so unless you have access another way then most likely you will en up in the QF lounge

Announced just now. Work beginning this month. The QP finished by end of year and the QPB lounge coming and due middle of next year.

This is likely paywalled. So just a snippet.

Adelaide Airport set to get its first Qantas business lounge amid increase in business visitors

With a multimillion-dollar Qantas Adelaide Airport lounge upgrade announced, get a first look at the designs. SEE HERE.

Qantas said its lounge precinct is set to remain the same in size, but the carrier will be repurposing underused spaces to increase seating capacity by more than 10 per cent.

It added that the precinct interior will “be inspired by the beauty” of South Australian culture, food and landscapes, including the Kangaroo Island’s Flinders Chase National Park.

It will feature South Australian sourced furniture, lighting and natural materials as well as artwork created by local First Nations artists and fittings curated by the Jam Factory.

Construction on the new precinct will start this month, with the first stage to include a fit-out of the Qantas Club. It is scheduled to open in mid-November while the domestic business lounge is expected to be up and running mid-next year.

The current Qantas Club will continue to operate for eligible customers during the construction phase.

For ADL, they are probably going to take away the desks where those computers used to be, that were taken away about covid start times.
Repurpose the space, maybe that spot can handle a lot of small round tables and mini stools to sit on.
Without an expansion in space, ie removal out outside windows, and expanding that, its still limited space, its just going to be a play on the space they have, meaning they will put more seats in, ...
They could go up one storey,
Unless they take away ext walls, its just a play.
Also, no QFi flights from ADL, so where are the business people going to come from.
I like it as it is, ...
Would have loved electrical hand dryers in the ADL QF J/QP loos tho.
