New Amex statement credits

I have definitely received more than my annual fee in statement credits (before even taking into account the free flight) so I am happy as Larry.

the terms and conditions say that gift purchases don't count as "spend" for the purposes of this offer. Anyone know if that is enforced?

The following transactions are not considered eligible spend for the purposes of the Offer:

1. Purchasing a merchant's goods through a third party. For example through an online aggregator (e.g. PayPal) or retailer
2. Returned items; and
3. Transactions which are subsequently cancelled or refunded.
4. Purchasing online gift cards from a merchant

Just a caution , bought some $150 gift cards in store 4 hours ago , usually get email notification within 1 minute , haven't got email so expecting to have to do more work to get points .
I meant credit .

Just checked some accounts online , under MY OFFERS shows that the $30 credit offer has been redeemed , but still no $30 credit in TRANSACTIONS PAGE .
At least this is a step in the right direction .

As usual, gift cards have always worked with every other statement credit even though they have been disallowed by the T+Cs. There is no reason to suspect this has changed- your purchase information is not sent to Amex.

Are we able to register two cards on the same account? i.e, a supplementary card? Will both get credits?

Spent over $150 in DJ's on Saturday
Showed up with the $30 credit in my amex account today

In my experience you can and you will. It certainly worked for Dan Murphys, Myer, etc. My wife's card is the suppplementary on my card and she has already received credit for David Jones spend. I haven still to spend the required $150 at DJ but when i do I am sure I will get the credit.

$30 credits now posted , happy days .

Just checked my points summary and saw a credit adjustment with bonus 870points. No idea where this has come from as all points have been added correctly and no local champion due to my hatred of Apple ;)

Any idea what this is?
