New Amex statement credits

I went to order stuff on there, but found that it kept on adding the postage to the order, even after spending over the required amount.

This happened to me as the 25% discount brought it below the free postage level. I juggled various baskets to bring them over the $80

Decided to use my remaining 3 unspent Amex HN credits on the "Happy Wife, Happy Life" strategy ;)

She was interested in a Themomix type kitchen appliance., but we had considered it a bit too much of a spend to justify on these types of appliances.

HN have the Tefal Cuisine Companion reduced to $1499, plus witha $150 GC back, plus Tefal are giving $200 back as well.

Net result what was not long ago was a $1700 purchase was now after Amex chipping in $500 (3 Amexes plus $600 in GC bought by 2 other Amexes) and Tefal $200 and HN $150 only a $650 net purchase. And importantly a happy wife too!

Now Good Guys does have it at $1499 on sale with the $200 Teafl back as well, but no $150 GC nor $500 Amex bonus. Now I guess you could have bought the VPays, but that would have lost $25 plus more hassle, plus I would be out the $150GC.

For some reason I am unable to proceed to "pay". Tried different browser with same outcome.
BTW free shipping is $89 after the discount.
Seems clickfrenzy is until midnight Friday as shown in House home page.

In the end I went with 4 lots of paying the $10 shipping as I did not really want to top up each order with $30 of stuff each time I did not really want. I could have just down 2 order, but it saved more gaining 4 x $300 and paying 4x410 postage(-%6 cashback).

Has anyone had luck with HN and Apple products? I'm looking at the new MBP and it would appear that the $300/$100 offer excludes Apple.

Thanks

Yep. Bought a $688 iPad air across 3 cards on the weekend. Got the email from amex for 2 of the cards that reached $300. The other card has around $150 of spend left before that is due another $100 back from amex.
Thank you Amex! :-D

Does anybody else have issues donating to oxfam for the retail spend offer?
Spend $60 get $30 back?

I keep getting a web page error - tried 3 different computers, different email address....Just take my money damn it

It has been a very quiet week for new statement credit offers (only one in total I believe). Hopefully a few useful ones will come through tomorrow...

A few good weeks before that however so this is an observation more than a whinge.

Given a number of (useless) offers expired over the weekend, tomorrow should be a day with new offers being posted.

Would be nice if they run the Space Furniture/Langton's/Winestar promo's again. Highly doubt it but it's free to dream...

It says no gift cards, but that sometimes hasn't stopped it from working ;)
Can't find how to buy one on the site though..

It's somewhere on the bottom of the site...then redirects you to Everyday Gift Card site, same as the Woolies online offer before.
