New Amex statement credits

Just to clarify... I received and used the offer on my Reserve last time. This time I have it on my Charge and Edge only. Looks like there is a pattern of not repeating the offer where previously offered and/or redeemed and it is now with a higher minimum spend,

I can only guess what they might do with HN next time...

Can confirm that I have received all 6 credits on a purchase at HN Gordon where they were happy to split payment across 6 cards but were adamant that they would not allow purchase of vpay or gc on AMEX (happy to do so on Visa / MC). Now to get back another $170 from TRS .....

Did you buy an apple product?

So it is still possible to purchase GC online.

It depends who you get at this store. As I had one older taller guy say a blunt NO. But then had a younger guy that in the photo area that was more then happy to do it more then once.

Do supplementary cards normally get offers? or do they need to be registered through amex connect or a direct link?

With the $50 credit Langton's gave me for signing up to a broker, $400 of wine could be mine for $200 :( when are these offers going to stop

Isn't the $150 Amex offer only for online purchases at langtons.com.au? How can you combine it with a purchase using the broker?

Over the phone triggered the amex email for me, as always YMMV ;)

Same here Steady.. over the phone broker purchase and email for $150 off.

I think the broker processes the payment through their payment gateway and the card just shows langtons purchase..

I am one who took advantage of the Harvey Norman $100 statement credit, used it on 11 of 13 cards (mix of bank, Amex and supplementary cards) and consolidated funds onto a Coles re-loadable M/Card. Instead of withdrawing from the re-loadable card I have been spending on it to pick up the extra FB points, approx $2600 is the current balance. I received the below email this afternoon and wondered if anyone else has received this either today or previously. I still have the VPay vouchers so will respond with the info requested, but am expecting this will drag on for or a while.

Dear Maccaisking,

Reference Number: xx_xx_

Thank you for purchasing a Coles Reloadable MasterCard.

Due to recent account activity, all of your Coles Reloadable MasterCards and any Coles Gift MasterCards linked to your card number ending in xx_x have been temporarily restricted or closed, or subject to increased monitoring until we receive some further information from you.

In order to have your card reinstated, you will need to provide us with the following documents:

1. A certified copy of your Australian drivers licence, Australian passport or proof of age card (with photo) issued by an Australian state or territory.
2. A certified copy of a recent statement (within the last 6 months) of the Australian bank account or debit card which you used to load funds onto your card. If this is not your account, you will also need to provide to us written confirmation from the account owner that they have authorised the funds to be credited to your card.

The documents will need to be certified by an Australian Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations, or an Australian legal practitioner.

Once certified, please return the documents to us at:

· Post to: PO Box 523, TOOWONG QLD 4066

If you do not return the documents to us within 10 days of the date of this letter, your cards will be closed.

We apologise for the inconvenience, however be assured that we take these measures to ensure the security of your funds.

Yours sincerely,

Coles Prepaid Cards Customer Support Centre

I got this email too going to be a PITA to provide all this. Thought was an easy way to consolidate the cards onto a platform that would let you spend in store & online. Getting this stuff and certified and posted going to take some doing. Glad I still have my original receipts. Going to take some time to redacted CC statements, etc.

For everyone that's got the email from Coles, how many vpays did you load onto your reloadable card and how have you been using the funds?

It is to do with money laundering legislation, and they need to comply. Provide the requested information and they will be satisfied of your bona fides.

My account is under review (new to amex) for ahem, some potential MS (I've learnt my lesson), and they bought up the fact why did I have so many 'refunds' from several retailers (they were all statement credits), had to explain to them the amex deals. Should be all good...i'll find out tomorrow.

Who issued the card? A bank or amex?
