New Amex statement credits

One week left for those lucky enough to get the Android Pay offer.

I should max out the 2500 MR earn on the Edge but will have to leave a few points on the table with the Charge.

A Samsung Pay offer next month would be nice......

Does anyone know what's the limit on Android Pay? I couldn't find anything on the Android Pay site. I tried a $110 that went through with PIN so I thought it was unlimited (just needed a PIN if over $100). Last night tried to buy a $500 Coles giftcard and got rejected. The guy had to split it to $99 transactions for me.

FYI I bought a $500 CM gift card with Android Pay recently with no problem - just needed a PIN as expected.

Thanks! Will try again tonight and if the same thing happens might give Amex a call to see if it's something on their end. I never use Android Pay except when there's an offer so maybe they block large transactions for me.

$2,400 at Bunnings on the weekend to max out the Explorer. Maxed out the Edge with gift cards at Coles plus Local Champion. Great promo.

Along with the life insurance and supp card holder promos it has been a very productive month.

Mine were hacked recently. I've been liaising with Epay and they've blocked the affected cards (I offloaded the others on the ATO site). They're currently waiting for a refund from Visa then will send me replacement - reckon will be up to 45 days.
Good concept but won't be using these anymore.
Are these the same issuers as Visa1 and other GCs on the market? Many show 'Blackhawk Network' on their transaction screens for the initial load. Do we need to beware of other branded GCs? I can only imagine what a cluster**** it would be to reconcile across a large number of low value Visa1's.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that my gift card (mygift2u) has been hacked. I purchased it on the 25 June with the Amex HN deal and I loaded with $500. I went to Bunning on Sunday using the card to make a payment and it got declined. I have been liaising with emerchants on the last few days try to solve things out. I need to fill in a few forms and also need to sign the statutory declaration form. All the fraudulent transactions were mostly overseas - US,IE and GB. Disputes team in emerchants advised me that they have lodged the visa dispute on my behalf. They also advised me with any dispute there is a time period of up to 45 days until they receive a final outcome. The total fraudulent charges on my card were around $490. They know when to stop as my card was loaded with $500 dollars. Hopefully I will get all the money back.

geez, sorry for your hassles

all of these recent stories are realy scaring me

in future I will be using mine as soon as I buy

Thanks for sharing your experience Green. I'm still a few weeks away from hitting my 45 days.
Quite a few of the ones I bought were affected so fastest way to unload them all I can think of is ATO site to prepay my next BAS. Was hoping to use them at normal Merchants to avoid Amex surcharges but doesn't look like that's feasible if their system has been compromised.

I offloaded the rest of the physical cards (mygift2u) on Monday, I used them to buy Bunning gift cards. But I still have a few vpay vouchers, I think the vpay vouchers should be ok. I have not heard anything about the vpay vouchers has been hacked.
