New Amex statement credits

Got this one both primary cards and 4 supp cards. Wasn't available on 1 supp card on each account which was a bit odd I thought.

No manual link then?
There's no manual link as the offer is targeted, but I did get it on all of my cards, including all supplementary.

Total 18 Cards got it. Only 1 Sup didn't. Time to buy Vanilla giftcard $250 with $7.50 surcharge ( pay ATO )

Yes, I realise. This one seemed to go exceptionally quickly though.

Didn't appear on either of my cards, although I checked as soon as I heard about the offer yesterday morning, so must have already been fully subscribed.

Once these are put up on OzBargain, especially with a small registration limit, then it's pretty much game over - this offer lasted barely 6 hours before people were reporting it was no longer available. Hardly surprising these days when some people have 20+ Amex cards, which means a lot of others miss out on these offers.

And Ozbargain now kills these deals very quickly.

I agree that OzB is the scourge!!

And people on OzBargain are less worthy because...? It often appears to me that information flows both ways.

Let's leave it up to Amex to define the rules rather than mumbling about what constitutes "misuse" and "abuse".

I didn't say anything about misuse or abuse. My point was that deals appear on OzB get savaged and either expire much more quickly or get shut down. There appear to be no secrets over there and full details are laid bare.

Has anyone done a large partial refund on a transaction that yielded a statement credit and not have the credit removed? I need to return something that is 70% of the transaction total and am hoping amex won't take back the credit..

I've done a small partial refund before, from memory less than 30% of the transaction total and they did not take back the statement credit.

From experience, you need to refund the full amount to lose the statement credit.
