New Amex statement credits

sorry this must be a dumb question, but how do you register/use the small business statement credits?

been reading everywhere, im sure its very obvious but im too newbie to get it

Honestly no words for how bad Amex service has become.

Contacted Amex connect regarding the missing statement credits. They told me to contact Amex via secure mail, which doesn't exist. 24/7 chat also doesn't seem to be 24/7, as it hasn't been working for a week.

I called and tried to speak to somebody, but after entering my card number, I received a message stating that they were only available during business hours... called again without entering my card number and spoke to the rudest staff member I've ever encountered who had no idea why 24/7 chat wasn't available, and also couldn't assist me, however would manually apply the missing credits.

Seriously... Amex has gone well and truly downhill

*edit* - as an update this this, called back and spoke to someone else who confirmed that the person I spoke to didn't actually apply the credits that then said they would. The person pulled the data from the call and said that I spoke to "Jodie" and he doesn't seem to have done anything. I did query that "Jodie" was a she, not a he, and was told "well gender is neutral, and Jodie is gay so could be a he or she"

I think I'll just let the $100 or so go, as it's just too painful!!

I seem to remember there was an F1 driver called Jody Schecter

I went to school with his sons....and then later his youngest son went to drive for Jaguar F1, got busted "curb-crawling" and was promptly thrown off the team.

I've used it multiple times and it seems to work for me.

The last time was when applying for an Amex DJs card last week - worked fine. Before that, it would've been a couple of months but I recall it working fine.

Just for an extra datapoint, were you already holding 2 Amex-issued credit cards when you applied for the DJ Amex credit card?

It's not so much the man/woman/indifferent (really not an issue), but more the fact that Amex's current staff just lie through their teeth to avoid doing their job.

After speaking to the other idiot for nearly an hour (which included being placed on hold for 10 mins at a time for no apparent reason mid sentence), I was finally promised a callback from manager "Warren" (who is a woman apparently). Of course, this hasn't happened. I've lost track of how many times I've raised concerns with Amex and been told "somebody will get back to you" and it never happens.

I have no faith that the credits promised will ever eventuate.

I know how you feel, months ago Ihad issues with my bonus points, got the run around, got lied to over and over again by multiple philipino staff (I assume they were philippino)

In the end I got really angry and escalated it as far as I could, I got australian guy, who gave me his direct number and sorted all my problems out in minutes, I even cheekily suggested a 20,000 bonus, and he instantly said not a problem

since then ive had 2 small things I needed to be fixed up, everytime ive contacted him ,it was done straight away and calls returned,
he was so good that I sent in a email commending him,

maybe try a aus manager?

If you are referring to Shop Small, it hasn't started yet.

I've never been able to get hold of an Australian staff. Care to share his number?

Same experience here. A while ago I had to contact them about my Plat Reserve application, and literally every time I call they'd promise me that a manager would call me back within 24 hours. It took me calling them every single day for over a month before someone finally called me back. Unbelievable.

Maybe give amex a call during business hours and ask for an aussie manager.
I thibk it was easy for me.
Howver if you cant. Ill call my guy and ask him if its ok to pass on his direct number

Nice. My procrastination in booking accommodation for my upcoming trip has paid off.

The T&C do not say that this statement credit offer cannot be stacked with other discount offers from Agoda (via email etc) so should get the credit and discount...
