New Amex statement credits

I received the offer on my Edge. Spend $2100 for 1500 MR which doesn't really excite me all that much.

In my three years of holding the Edge...not even once. #discrimination jokes.

It would still excite me because that's effectively free points. There's not even a week that goes by without at least that much going on the Edge. I of course assume there aren't category restrictions.

Spend $3,100 to get 4,500 points on my Edge.
Unfortunately my car rego, CTP, insurance due the day before this starts.
Have already purchased several only1 for other bills due in April.

So don't think I can afford to take up this offer.

I don't remember the terms from last time, but this time it's interesting to note the terms says: Only spend on the Card and any supplementary Cards attached to this account, to which the offer is saved, is eligible for the offer. Offer does not apply to spend on other Cards you might hold.

So that means Sup cards’ spend also count. Does that mean you can take advantage of offers on those cards as well e.g. If the offer requires $800 spend and I have two $400 get $120 back Hilton offer saved on the main and sup card, I effectively only need to spend $560?

Yes I would say so.

A similar thing happened to me last year so I just deferred payment by a day and everything shuffled over a day. Just make sure you leave the car in the garage that one day.

My question though is are you able to pay rego with Amex? We can't here in the ACT.

Each property is a separate credit. To get one credit you need to spend $400 at one property.

To get all 10 credits you need to stay at 10 properties,
I stayed at Hilton Perth and qualified for my spend (booking was prepaid online as most of them are?). Received my statement credit and now it says offer has been redeemed. I thought it was valid at 10 different properties. Do these need to be the more expensive flexible room rates that aren't charged immediately as I notice it says up to 1 per paid booking is permitted.

Yes, can pay rego on Amex in NSW.
But 1.54% surcharge and only earn 0.5 points per $ on Edge for govt spend.

The way I read it, is that you can get up to 10 credits. It may just be a limitation of the system to say redeemed. Not sure.

Yes I thank that is right. On previous multi-credit offers like Sushi Hub last year I remember the app saying the offer was redeemed but the credit was still paid on the second purchase made later.

I haven't received any points target :(, only got the Charge in January, so perhaps too early for me
