New Amex statement credits

Malaysian Airlines - spend $800 for a $130 credit. Only received this on my Plat Edge card.

I received this offer on my Edge and Reserve but not my Charge.

It seems odd that it is not showing up on the Charge cards given they have the 2ppd earn rate for travel (as does Reserve, of course, but not everybody has one of these).

Wow - the salivation on OzB is already OTT. Imagine the uproar if they banned registering supps.

Since August, Amex USA allows only 1 offer per person for pretty much all their new offers ie I have 4 cards with them and once I save the offer to one card, I won't be able to save it to the rest. There used to be a trick by opening multiple tabs but Amex fixed that loophole. This seems to apply to supps in the same name/ssn as well. I also heard that if you save some offers to supps, the primary card will lose them.

Hope this doesn't come to Australia soon.

If this does come to Australia, the Charge card would seriously start to lose its value.

I got both offers on all my Explorer cards. Looks like I’m changing from Red Energy (maxed out last Amex rebate deal) to Lumo!

Lumo no good to me since I am in QLD (in any case, the offer is not on my cards) but this has served as a useful reminder to prepay Red Energy a bunch of $$$ to score all 6 of statement credits.

Just paid my red energy bill off with amex, it was so easy to do so!! Got the emails as well.

Wooo

Anyone here got the offer and havent/unable to use the offer? Let me know!!

I'm going to need to prepay in order to scoop up all $300 of credits that I can.

Just FYI that I've successfully paid at a hilton hotel in advance prior to checkout in the amount of $400 and have received notification of triggering the promo credit.
Online prepaid also triggers it but that is for 1 night only (or 2 depending on what type of hilton hotel you are staying in)and sometimes its cheaper to book 2-3 nights and splitting the payments in the hotel. I used my supplementary card who isn't even here.

I do that much at least every month but seem to escape the filter. Perhaps they know I'll spend so don't offer me Qantas cashback offers.
Quite possibly if you've used an offer beforehand they don't offer again. Certainly happened to me on a Winedirect offer, when they reoffered I only got it on the card I didn't use it on last time. Smart marketing in my view, why would you offer a discount to someone you don't need to, that's just throwing money away.
