New Amex statement credits

I got a pleasant surprise $5 unexpected credit from a take out place I bought lunch at on Thursday. Good value for the surcharge they charged for the privilege. Might go back there this week. $10 spend is more achievable - especially for merchants like this where $20 was a bit of a spend.

Is anyone getting the confirmation emails on offers including shop small, when used? I used to get them regularly but haven't recevied any for the past few months.

Mine turned up today from purchases made on the first day.
Same here. I miss the instant email notifications to be honest.

Also I'd like to say that I much prefer the new $10/$5 shop small vs. the old $20/$10. It's much easier to meet $10. Sure it's harder if you're trying to manufacture spend (e.g. Opal top-ups) but it's better for genuine users IMO.

Email arrived this morning.
10 points per dollar on Telstra & Optus spend. Max. 5,000 points. Until 16-Sept-2020
Targeted.
Recived an email for Plat Reserve Credit Card and DJs Plat Card, but not for the Platinum Charge Card.

redeemed the telco offer in full.
my normal monthly fleet bill is $400ish, paid $500.. can be a credit for next month :)

only got it on one my reserve cards

I have received a couple of Amex emails for SS spend today. Not every spend though. Maybe the non-receipt of emails was a bug and they have fixed it, at least partially?

just got email for telco spend too so it looks like the system is back.

Liquorland is my first offer for a long time that I've received on all cards held, but its only valid for 12 days...

If you're expecting a credit from AMEX, make sure you monitor it carefully.

I recently signed up for the $400 supermarket offer, and even though the T&Cs suggest credits are available at both Coles and Woolworths, I've only been getting credits from my local Coles. (I'll still get to $400 before the offer expires, no doubt, but for those who only shop at the one chain, definitely worth checking.)

Shop Small is all over the place - I've had credits come through on the next business day after a transaction has been finalised, but some are now stretching 1.5 weeks without a credit, and some eligible purchases made last weekend crediting and others not, despite confirming on the map that all should be eligible for Shop Small (the businesses didn't just appear in the list like most stores, but also had the Shop Small logo beside them on the AMEX site).

Good to see the emails are back - should make things easier going forward, as I can't think of a time in the past where I've received the email but haven't also then received the credit afterwards.
