New Amex statement credits

Assume those who received 50 points per $ haven't used said card in Google/Apple pay?
This is my first time using Google Pay in about 5 years. Last time I tried Google Pay was like 5 years ago, and hated it. It's such a PITA.
Don't want to drag this off topic, but it is to do with Opal readers having problems on buses all the time, and it is near impossible to ask for credit / refund when you pay with bank card, due to lack of transaction records e.g. exact tap on tap off locations, transaction ID

???
Mrs Mac received it, I had recently (around 3 weeks ago) added her card to my phone. She also received the bonus points for fuel & bonus points for streaming services offers

Wanted to pay for coffee this morning, but got to the cafe, and realised that I needed to take my Opal card off from the phone (it is too dangerous and problematic to pay with bank card for bus trips in Sydney due to problems with Opal card readers on buses), then unlock screen, and enable NFC. It is all too hard, so I gave up.

Huh? Just leave NFC enabled. Unlocking a screen takes about 0.5 seconds if you use the fingerprint scanner.

No offer for me, but had all my Amex cards in Google Pay and used them. Suspect this is a drive to get those who haven't to do so. Also, my Amex cards are still showing in Google Pay.

Not seen the shop small bonus points offer come through on my explorer. did everyone get it ?

I use Apple Pay and no AMEX offer for using it

Eats battery too much too quickly. I use my phone for public transport, which uses GPS to track buses, and GPS eats battery, NFC just adds to it. I have Wi-Fi and bluetooth and NFC all off.

0.5 seconds? I don't think so, not when I tried 5 years ago. It takes me 1 second to take my physical card I want to use out from my wallet, I don't have to choose which card I want unlike Google Pay, and if the queue is too long at the cashier, my physical card does not time out and lock itself again ...

Yes, seems like a drive. I wonder what's it in for AmEx. Doesn't Google take a commission for each ticket?

At 50 points per $1, up to 5000 points, that's only $100, so I'll probably use it at a restaurant, put $100 through one time only, then get rid of this stupid Google Pay rubbish.

I would like to see someone who can unlock phone screen then select the card required from multiple cards stored within Google Pay, and ready to tap the EFTPOS terminal, faster than me pulling a physical card out from my wallet ...... 🙄

It uses to little battery on my phones that it doesnt even make the rankings when I check battery usage. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest the screen on battery usage for enabling and disabling NFC each day would far exceed battery usage of leaving it on.

If your phone is taking longer than 0.5 seconds to unlock with a fingerprint scan something is wrong. If you're using your default phone, then you don't need to do anything other than unlock your phone and scan. Simples. I do agree if you want to use a different card then its slightly more painful.

If there are any photographers here, Digidirect.com.au has just triggered a Shop Small confirmation email for me - thought it worth sharing as they're not in the Shop Small online directory.

Very happy with 6.25 points per dollar (1.25 Amex + 3 Shop Small + 2 Digidirect QFF partnership)

I'm a prolific Google Pay user ever since my better half helpfully put my amex card through the wash a second time and I gave up on replacement cards... I got the offer, and racked up my 5K points already (not too hard when it's 50 ppd)

New offers;

Kogan - 100 / 20
Park on King - 50 / 10 (Sydney airport, maybe others)
Oak Road Estate - 100 / 30

I assume Kogan offer can be used to buy gift cards? I haven't purchased from Kogan previously, does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of gift cards you can stack during the checkout process with Kogan?

Has anyone received their 15% back on that particular favourite brands offer

Does anyone know what this entry represents on Mr L's recent Amex Ultimate Statement in the Summary of QFF Points section:

Bonus Points Earned
Description:
RC Qantas Tiers (Q02, Q03, Q04, Q05) A&P
No of Points: 3

The only entries vaguely around that amount are 3.20 at Woolworths and 3.69 at Bunnings. Thanks in advance!
Did you ever solve this mystery (and apologies if it is buried somewhere in the thread)?
Mrs R received 1118 bonus points recently for this and we have no idea why.

Yes. For just one example, the Boozebud transaction was dated April 15, the credit is dated April 16. Showed up on my online statement within 4 days.
