New Amex statement credits

Busy week for offers - Country Road, spend 100 for 20 credit. That is a store I have actually heard off!

Last time they had an offer we bought gift cards and the credit was successfully triggered.

Twice recently I have chosen an item that triggers the offer only to find it is on sale and under the threshold. Have bought a pair of socks each time

Another offer - Good Guys spend 300 for 50 credit.

Shop Small credits starting to come in - have received all except one from Saturday so far.

This could be handy. Was looking for a stove/oven. Hope they sell. Don't need top of the line.

At the moment it is better value with the 20% off on eBay then the spend $300 for $50 credit (16.67% discount) if you only spend $300, unless they give you a better price :)

Although yesterday we were told in-store it was better value to purchase a washing machine online then instore, which ended up saving us $230.

Thanks. Only need an entry level stove/oven. Think around $500-$600. Not for use at home. Looked online and they have some discounts this week. Need to compare online with instore and see the difference.

When I last utilised the Amex cashback for whitegoods, a dishwasher at Hardly Normal, I found that another store 2nds World had new stock (not seconds) for less. I used this fact back at HN to get a price match.
Amex have the HN and Good Guys offers running atm in-case one does not stock the model you are after.

Bought a stove at Good Guys online yesterday for the $50 credit from Amex but Good Guys also had an online promotion of up to $50 gift voucher. All up saved $100.

Probably a dumb question, but here goes...

... how do I save offers to a supplementary Plat Charge card or Plat Edge card?

With Amex Connect and my old NAB issued Amex, I registered both cards and saved offers to each card.

When I log into Amex, I only seem to be able to see the primary cards and save offers to those.... What am I missing?

TIA.

You can usually register supps via amex connect.
You don't get a recurrent login to amexconnect for them (in my experience) so need to put your card details each time

Yup this method has worked for me too.

OK, I'm confused. I can't access the offers on Amex Connect unless I log in and then if I try to add a supplementary card, it gets rejected. It seems Amex Connect is for bank-issued cards only.

Can supplementary card holders register to use the main Amex site separately and save offers that way?

I havent been able to log into Amex Connect for ages. Enter log in info, get pop up box, click ok or cancel and get taken back to log in screen. Rinse and repeat until suitably frustrated then give up.

There was a period of a couple of weeks when they were having 'issues' but it seems to be all OK again now.

You cannot access both you bank amex and Amex amex from the same login. You will need to set up a separate login account on the connect site for the other cards. i.e. Your Amex amex cards all on one account whilst your bank issued cards (different banks too) will all be on the other account.
When logged in to the relevant account you can "Add a Card" for your supplementary card. At least this is how I think I did it. ;)
Your login for your Amex should be same as for your usual Amex login.
Clear as mud?
