New Amex statement credits

BP Naremburn (NSW) had 25, 50 and 200 dollar cards. Bought a $200 card and they let me make 5 * $40 Amex charges.

Nice. The one I went to said that he could only split a transaction once, and it had to be card and cash if he did. I'm okay with the 4 $50 ones I got though.

"You're not allowed to buy credit using credit". I said I'm not buying credit as there's no lending of money from BP but they just shrugged.

I've bought fuel as well, but I was never going to maximize my credits that way as we were away for two and a half weeks of the promo period.

Seem to be only turning up on my platinum charge card but very happy to see the return of some point bonuses on purchases.

All the BP gift cards mysterious disappeared from my local BP. There were plenty there the first day I went, and then they were gone..... I wouldn't be surprised to see them back tomorrow.

I did have one (where I had filled up incidentally) tell me that they didn't have any and there was an issue with them from head office...

I managed 11, out of a possible 12, BP credits in the end and all spent on fuel. A nice $110 to help offset that annual fee!!

Nice stock of BP gift cards and every Amex card in family used 3x.

Best use for us, since can get C/W gcs at discount and then 4 cents/litre off, is for OPAL top ups.

Gotta love that 25% discount.
