I noticed it said ex-AU only as well. I wonder if you can book ex-Non-AU but still pay in AUD?

Log-in, bottom right page, set location and language to Australia. Before you complete your booking you will have the option to pay in HK$ or AUD$.

I am pleased to report that a Chemist Warehouse digital gift card, bought from the main CW website, paid out the Amex Offer. I purchased a $150 gift card two days ago, it was posted yesterday, and the $15 credit posted today.

I had a play around, it seems like ex-CGK or ex-TPE, don't have that option. Shame.

I think this might be dependent on the origin/destination. If you book ex-AU, you have the option of multiple currencies. Whereas ex-TPE/CGK you don't. Normally the currency selection is under fare summary:

Just tried a dummy booking. I see what you mean, location makes no difference. Have you tried emailing to complete the booking?

Yep. Tried Whatsapp, Phone etc. Seems to be entirely dependent on the country of origin as to whether they will facilitate payment in AUD or not. I think ex-HKG and ex-EU (not all countries) might be ok.

Mrs Happy Dude has a new Amex Plat Velocity card that comes with the signup offers (eg JB Hifi, Amazon, Uber, Myer etc).

The Uber and Amazon offers are 5x points/$ up to 2,500 points. As this is a direct VA points earning card, will a gift card purchase trigger the bonus points? Confirmed in previous posts that GCs triggered Amazon statement credit offers (eg $60/$10) in the past on Plat Charge (never had one on my Explorer).

Hoping to confirm as it'll be a good way to get closer to the spend threshold in addition to the VA points.

Looks like CW have disabled buying GCs with an Amex...anyone have any recent luck buying with an Amex?

Same, got an order through on Sunday morning.

Just tried again and it worked without any issues, and the gift card email came through about 10 minutes afterwards.

Are you logging into the CW site, or doing it as a "guest"? I have been logging in.

Just received a cancellation notice due to unsuccessful payment. Card is Qantas Discovery Amex. I had same problem on the Qantas card trying to use the Amazon offer not so long ago.

Are you connecting via a VPN? I had mine reject when I was connected when I tried last week. But no VPN and all good.
