10.30 Dep, 13:00 back, into BNE 14:20

I just stumbled across this article: Virgin scores with city | Travel | Gladstone Observer

Does anyone know whether this is just for the GLT route to go head to head with QF, or for all Skywest ATR operations, just to add yet another level of complexity to the current meal offerings on DJ?

Seems to tie in with the Skywest/Virgin offering in WA. I'd also imagine the largest market DJ are targeting will be FIFO so I guess they need to offer a similar product to get the foot in the door.

Interesting seat map:

I like how they block the first off seats :)

I would have thought you would choose seats at the rear of the aircraft. First to board/deboard, as well as first to be served your meals.

Not in a hurry to get off and I like pointy ends for the lack of noise ;)

The first row aisle seats are blocked due to a Casa rule regarding the position of the front fa seat, aisle seat position in the front row and the forces in an accident, apparently it will be sorted with some modification and those seats will then be usable, that came from an engineer.

Ahhh, that's right. I remember the FA having to sit in an unusual opsition, very close to the pax in row 1. His seat sort of slid out of nowhere for takeoff and landing.

Shame there wasn’t a video or photo of that, but the time he was sat in it was around the time electronic devices should have been turned off… for our fake take off.

Yeah, I already got told "Sorry Sir, your phone may interfear with the aircraft's navigation system, so would you please turn it off"

I don't think that's right. DJ have simply been reading too much AFF.

Those two seats are the DYKWIA seats...........now what was markis10 saying about the pointy end

I sat in 1F on the ATR and the seat next to me had a sign on it saying this seat not to be occupied during take off and landing.
