I guess we'll be seeing that fee increase.

Signed up to My Wine companion. Sign in page still makes reference to Centurion Card members so obviously this benefit has flowed down...

Still not convinced this is worth a fee hike...

The Benefits Directory a is cough to get to...its like Amex dont really want you to access it...

Anyway, once you have logged in and can see your card accounts (e.g. your platinum charge and the free platinum reserve), on the left hand menu underneath the Platinum Card section, there is a link to Card Benefits. Sometimes this dissapears suddenly (I am using Chrome so not sure if its a browser issue), but you if you click on there, you get to the log in page. Sometimes you need to log in again, other times the single sign on will take you straight through.

I've just received a letter and booklet in the mail outlining the changes and new annual fee.

From the letter:
"Your annual fee is changing. But not as much as Platinum is.
The annual fee for the Platinum Card is changing to $1,200 and will be applied on your next fee renewal date after October 2013. However you don't need to wait until then to enjoy the benefits of Platinum."

"Cover for home and away.
We've listened to your feedback and as a result changes have been made to Platinum Insurance. These include ensuring you are covered when using frequent flyer points to pay for flights. You'll also notice an improvement to your current benefit limit of Loss Damage Waiver Cover for rental vehicles. And of course, your partner and dependent children continue to have access to cover. See page 24 of the enclosed brochure for more information on the range of insurances, from travel to purchase protection, which come with your Card."

From page 24: "The Loss Damage Waiver Cover for car rental has now been increased to AUD125,000."
