The proximity to the upcoming QF lounge (due to open next year) in LHR could make this lounge quite attractive to visit. One could visit this lounge then move across to the QF lounge before boarding.

Would be terrific to have an alternative to those tatty BA chairs. :)

Must admit I do enjoy the BA F lounge in T3, tatty chairs notwithstanding.

I much prefer the serve yourself approach over waiter service in lounges.

But that's just me.

No problem with serve-yourself - but that should not preclude clean furniture? :)

But the Ba F food leaves a lot to be desired....

I'd be interested if anyone visits this is in the next few weeks - might be an alternative to BA lounge at T3 - I've been spoiled by the F lounges there

Looks ok, but who was the designer? Who thought all those natural tones would go well with a couple of royal blue chairs plonked in the middle? really!

(forgive me, I feel my interior designer self is coming out!)

Now where did I leave the Mr. Sheen?

Don't seem to be as many power points are there are in the CX lounges in HKG. High electricity costs in the UK?

I'll be visiting the Business class section in Mid-January. Very keen to see how it compares to both their other lounges and other oneworld lounges.

It's essentially a "mini-Pier" (referencing The Pier at HKG), in both the first class and business class areas, but definitely the best T3 lounge for Oneworld flyers. Can't wait until the new Qantas lounge opens in March for a real comparo, but I suspect the CX lounge is going to have the edge in most areas...

Is it open to OW Ruby? In which case I can visit mid-Dec and report back (time permitting).

was there on opening day - fantastic lounge - it coughs all over the BA lounge, better food, better service, better everything. Separate First Class section, though didn't seem to be anyone really monitoring who came in and out (I had access to it). Definitely reminds me of The Pier in HKG. Example - on the same day, I actually entered the BA lounge first and sat down at the dining table. Nothing happened, so I went to grab my own food and grab a server to order some of their coughpy food. Then went to the CX lounge - was greeted as soon as I stepped into the lounge and given a short tour (might be because it was opening day). Stepped into the dining room and was served promptly (like at The Pier).

NO - but is to oneworld Sapphire (business section), oneworld Emerald (First section) and those travelling in Business Class or First Class, all of whom must be travelling oneworld.

Will be interesting. Still wish QF was doing a dedicated F lounge in LHR. If those with WP status are treated poorly due to not being P1 or CL in the QF lounge that should make the CX lounge quite attractive for those with WP status.
